Brooks founded Brooks Montero Creations, May 2021. She envisioned the idea of running a business while on maternity leave and thought she’ll never have time to have a full time career, with two little ones, whose names are trademarked on the body creams and soap bars. Brooks loves creating soap bars and shea butter sample products for fun for her girls, family and friends, in between working on her art portfolio.

Brooks is a modern Fine Artist with two decades of experience. She graduated with a BFA from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut with a concentration in Illustration. As an Artist she always been crafty and worked well with her hands. More importantly, her vision for success is to promote healthier skin and premium home décor. With her husband as co-partner, they both see a promising future for their business to thrive.

As a renaissance woman: human and social services professional by day, wife, mother, ordained minister, artist and entrepreneur. Brooks decided to expand her abstract artistic talent beyond the paintbrush and incorporated her passion for beauty skincare and home décor into a small business to pass down to her children, Marlena and Dyanna.

As a proud mother of two gorgeous girls, Marlena and Dyanna, I decided to create and establish BMC, LLC as a small business. My daughters suffer from the discomfort, inflammation and irritation from eczema like their father. Marlena and Dyanna, whose names who are trademarked on our beauty skincare products, sparked the idea to start this business after their namesakes to pass down to them, while promoting and providing high quality premium handcrafted goods.

With my girls having eczema since birth, I wasn’t comfortable with the medication treatment prescribed for them due to the side effects it caused one of them. Nothing seem to work, until I tried my own DIY shea butter and soap bars on their beautiful brown skin to help soothe and reduce irritation to their skin, while keeping it healthy, hydrated and moisturized. My goal was to prefect the best body cream and soap bars for them specifically to help soothe, relive their irritation and made for all skin types.

I’ve incorporated my artistic talent and skills into the hobbies I love. As an Artist, I have always had a passion for fashion and beauty skincare industry since I was a little girl. It has always been a love of mines to learn how to make handmade shea butters and soap bars that are only made with all-natural, organic ingredients and materials with no chemicals and no animal testing. I love making my passions into reality, for everyone to enjoy, but especially for my girls, Marlena and Dyanna!
